چکیده
lectrolyte abnormalities can cause cardiac rrhythmias or cardiopulmonary arrest. Lifehreatening arrhythmias are associated commonly ith potassium disorders, particularly hyperalaemia, and less commonly with disorders of erum calcium and magnesium. In some cases herapy for life-threatening electrolyte disorders hould start before the laboratory results become vailable. The electrolyte values for definitions have been hosen as a guide to clinical decision-making. he precise values that trigger treatment deciions will depend on the patient’s clinical conition and the rate of change of the electrolyte alues. There is little or no evidence base for the treatPrevention of electrolyte disorders

0 d asic life support (BLS) refers to maintaining airway atency and supporting breathing and the circulaion, without the use of equipment other than a rotective device.1 This section contains the guideines for adult BLS by lay rescuers and for the use f an automated external defibrillator (AED). It lso includes recognition of sudden cardiac arrest, he recovery position and management of choking...

This section of the 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC addresses cardiac arrest in situations that require special treatments or procedures beyond those provided during basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS). We have included 15 specific cardiac arrest situations. The first several sections discuss cardiac arrest associated with internal physiological or metab...
متن کاملPart 8: advanced challenges in resuscitation. Section 1: life-threatening electrolyte abnormalities. European Resuscitation Council.
Electrolyte abnormalities are among the most common reasons for patients to develop cardiac arrhythmias. Of all the electrolyte abnormalities, hyperkalemia is most rapidly fatal. A high degree of clinical suspicion and aggressive treatment of underlying electrolyte abnormalities can prevent many patients from progressing to cardiac arrest.
